Your privacy matters.

Browsing the guides.

The site does not require an account or provide a public comment system. Our hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to serve and secure the site. Font files and licensed photographs are hosted with the website rather than loaded from social platforms.

Plans and account choices.

The preview stores saved places, saved stories and a plan name in your browser’s local storage so the notebook works without an account. The installable PWA may cache the public shell and recently requested pages; its service worker revalidates documents and removes older cache versions. You can clear local plans through the Plan page or your browser’s site-data controls.

When Supabase is connected, email/password authentication stores an account session and the platform may store profiles, saved items, plans and enquiries associated with an account. Use the Account page to export your data or delete your account. Account deletion is blocked while an active, trialing or past-due partner subscription is attached; cancel it first, then retry deletion. Account features are unavailable when the account service is not configured.

Live information.

The Live Malta desk can request current weather from Open-Meteo when you open or refresh the page. The request uses Malta coordinates and does not include your email, saved plans or account details. Other live cards link to their source calendars and operators; following those links leaves this site.

Newsletter choices.

The current notification link opens your email app with your selected interest prefilled. This website does not collect your address or send the message for you. If MailerLite signup is enabled later, its hosted form will require email confirmation and every newsletter will provide an unsubscribe link.

Optional analytics.

Google Analytics is disabled unless configured. When enabled, it loads only after you allow analytics. We use page views, outbound booking clicks and newsletter signup starts to assess content usefulness. We do not attach email addresses or residence details to events. Signup starts are not confirmed subscriptions.

The site stores your analytics preference locally in your browser. You can change it using Cookie settings when analytics is enabled. Declining stops future analytics loading; withdrawing consent does not erase data already sent to the provider.

External links and contact.

Booking providers, official authorities and social networks operate their own websites and privacy policies. Following a link leaves this site. If you email us, we use your message to respond and handle the matter raised; avoid sending sensitive documents.

Your rights and questions.

Where applicable, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information and withdraw newsletter consent. Contact the publisher at hello@destinationmalta.eu or use our Contact page. Concerns can also be raised with Malta’s Information and Data Protection Commissioner.
